Dr. Clifford Mevs, MD, a multilingual, board-certified pediatrician, founded Bradenton Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics in 2021, when he relocated from New York City to Bradenton, Florida.
Dr. Mevs has specialty training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and he has over 30 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents, who have developmental or behavioral issues. He has expertise in the surveillance of infants and toddlers who are at-risk for a non-optimal developmental course.
During his career, Dr. Mevs has treated infants and children with chronic illnesses, failure to thrive, and dysphagia. He has diagnosed and managed children with ADHD, autism, learning disorders, and anxiety/depression; and he has supervised the health care maintenance of children with genetic disorders. While practicing medicine in New York, Dr. Mevs also taught medical students and supervised pediatric and psychiatric residents.
Now, Dr. Mevs is offering his professional experience to children and parents on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Education and Training
Dr. Mevs graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico. He completed his fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Brown University and the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
